The Revolutionary Circle 18SM
Unlike most engines the Circle 18SM engine has no crank shafts and no valves. Here's how it works:
- The design arranges multiples of four basic moving parts in a circle
- The engine has 18 pistons, which fire in sequence, in three groups
- When the pistons fire, they transfer motion to a wave-shaped cam, via rollers
The Circle 18SM focuses on putting peak pressure in sync with maximum leverage, so more work can be derived from a unit of pressure applied.
The average combustion engine today is 15%-20% efficient. We are literally throwing away 80¢ for every $1 of gasoline. This is the result of a century-old design. We can no longer afford to remain content with today's wasteful engines.
